Will paint brushes from craft stores apply eye makeup just as good as makeup brushes?

i was just wondering cus sometimes, paintbrushes are cheaper than actuall makeup brushes.

Yes!! If you buy Loe- Cornell's brushes = any painter will tell you that they are the best brushes for paint, just like anyone crazy about makeup would tell you that MAC brushes are the best.





They are VERY soft brushes and many come in the same size as actual makeup brushes too! I don't have any yet b/c I'm saving up money to buy some for xmas:)

i think sometimes paint brushes work better, they're often softer than expensive make-up brushes, and they are a whole lot cheaper. if you buy good quality paint brushes then they are fine to use on your face and there is no reason you shouldn't use them for make-up purposes. i'd recommend Leow Cornell brushes, they've worked great for me, and i love how inexpensive they are compared with say the MAC brushes, which can be like $40 sometimes. you can find Leow Cornell brushes at Michael's, and you should be able to find them at most other craft stores.
I doubt it. The bristles on make-up brushes are much more gentle on your skin and softer to help the make-up go on smoother. Art brushes are made to be more durable, and that might make it harder to get the make-up to go on smoothly.





You could go to Wal-Mart or Target probably and get some make-up brushes for a decent price.

Bad idea. The bristles may be treated to make them more durable and stand up to cleaning better. This can cause problems. Stick with makeup brushes.

You just have to buy the right ones.
