I advise u 2 go early preferbaly when its only bin open half and hour as no one else will be in the shop n none of the make up will have bin used yet!Best time to visit makeup counters at department stores?
Try at about 10 or 11... it's not too early, but it's early enough that the sales people won't be like ';oh god, it's another one';. Also try to be nice to them so they will give you (relatively) honest advice and the good makeup.

Early on in the day, and during the week. You may also be able to set an actual appointment with some of them.
When you have plenty of time to have your questions answered and to try new things.
Maybe around 11am? Just go when you see a lot of salespeople around there.
