You can only buy MAC Pro makeup online if you are a professional Photographer, Makeup Artist, Etc.

Sims 2 Makeup Stores?
I am looking for objects for the sims 2 relevant to makeup,
i want a makeup shop which i can put in my game. I do have ofb, nl, uni all the ones you could possibly need.

The closest to a make-up store you can do is a salon or jewelry store. You will need one of the vanity mirror tables and a salon chair (they came with Open for Business) and one of the jewelry display cases (they came with Bon Voyage).
Unfortunetly you can't sell makeup items, like lipstick or eyeshadow. Those are considered parts of the Sim and can be changed if they look into a mirror. If you want a wider selection of colors you need to use the body shop and a paint program to create them, but once they are created and loaded into the game, any Sim can access them from any mirror.

lol the economy is so bad i have to buy some cheap makeup. I still love Sephora and MAC and there are some products I will never trade. But I just got HIP eyeshadow and I actually like it. I also like their highlighter. And Covergirl lipstick. I have been using everyday minerals for a year now. I live in an apartment and today on the USPS website it says my package was delivered but I dont have it. If EM will not replace it (I contacted them and I am waiting to hear back) I will not be able to order from them anymore. Is there any mineral makeup in the stores comparable to them? I have found that putting them in the freezer is a good idea. not liquids of course- just the eye shadow pencils, liners, etc. I have found that they go on smoother, last longer, and has more of a ';glow'; appearance, %26amp; It doesn't cake or clump when u do this. Mascara-, I don't store anywhere but room temp 4 obvious reasons. I dont use liquids 4 my face- but if u do- u could put them in the fridge 4 smoother appearance. If you put them in a plastic container in the fridge.
I've forgotton the reasons why, but i do know that it is good for the chemicals and such.
Just don't put them in the freezer.
It applies to lipstick because then it won't break off in the hot weather, but I don't know of any benefits for other types of make-up. Modern make-up keeps for months or longer because of advanced manufacturing technologies.

I have found that putting them in the freezer is a good idea. not liquids of course- just the eye shadow pencils, liners, etc. I have found that they go on smoother, last longer, and has more of a ';glow'; appearance, %26amp; It doesn't cake or clump when u do this. Mascara-, I don't store anywhere but room temp 4 obvious reasons. I dont use liquids 4 my face- but if u do- u could put them in the fridge 4 smoother appearance. It applies to lipstick because then it won't break off in the hot weather, but I don't know of any benefits for other types of make-up. Modern make-up keeps for months or longer because of advanced manufacturing technologies.

I wear mostly Benefit products and I would have an amazing time working at a makeup counter in a Macy's or other department store. How does that work? Do I contact the HR department at the particular department store or ask at the makeup counter?

It would be best to ask at the counter. Generally the hiring for these brands is done by the cosmetic companies themselves, not the store. Also try visiting the brand website, they sometimes have hiring information on there too that will be specific to the company / location.

i read in a magazine that it is good to collect makeup samples to stash in your locker in case you need them, but it just seems weird. How do i go to makeup counters and stores such as mac and sephora and get samples without seeming annoying?Samples from makeup stores?

The sample lasts at least a week.

Find the right people. Go to employees that look happy and nice, and who seem glad to help you. Keep a lookout in magazines; sometimes they give out free samples online, and other times there will be an ad that you take to a store to get free samples. I have gotten free Kinerase, Murad, and Clarins samples by looking in magazines. Fashion magazines are more likely to have them (Elle, Glamour, etc.).

How can I store makeup to make it last longer?
I love using a makeup line that has been discontinued and I havent been able to find a concealer in over a year. I finally found it so I am sure that the makeup is already a little ';old';. It looks fine. I bought two pots of the concealer and I just want to see if there is a certain way or place to store the concealer (the one I am not using) to make it last longer,, thanks!How can I store makeup to make it last longer?

The thought of someone out there spending lots of money on an old, bacteria filled bronzing stick made me sad!

I think many of their products are aimed towards older women, which is sad because they are quality and affordable but not nearly as bold as I want my makeup to be as a teen. As an African - American female, should I work for makeup store with products catered to Caucasians?
I have experience in makeup and am looking into a position with a cosmetics franchise company as a part-time makeup artist a few hours per week. From doing research, I found that the line mostly caters to Caucasian White women and does not have a true customer base of women of color. Should I still pursue working this position or is it possible that they would be more apt to hire a Caucasian employee being that most of the customers that come to the store are this race? Honestly if you want to work there and do the job of make up tech, you will have to work on whites, asians as well as black people, however if you feel uncomfortable around other races, perhaps, now this is just a suggestion, you could find a salon in a more ethnic neighborhood and perhaps start a business for yourself doing makeup for women with darker skin for special events, weddings and such, heck that could be your calling and in ten years or so you could own your own cosmetics company specializing in darker skin tone women.

I want to get my makeup done at a makeup counter so i basically know the tips and tricks. I just want a very simple neutral look. How much would it cost me to get my makeup done? And which brand do you recommend? I have light oily skin with uneven skintone.

For oily and uneven skin, I'd recommend Bare Escentuals! I've been using it for a good amount of time and love it. They have counters in Nordstrom and products in Sephora as well as independent boutiques. When you go there they'll give you a ';make-under'; and match your skin tone and then show you how to apply the products as well as showing you little hints and tricks. For the neutral look you're going for, all you need is the start kit which is $60. It's a lot but it comes with brushes and everything and it'll last you a very long time.

Go to Macy's and Dillard's dep. store, you'll find alot of different brands with different prices ranges too. Also they always have bonus, like free gifts with purchase. Clinique has some nice makeup and the price is very affordable.

If I had to pick one I'd say go to Sephora because they have a variety of brands so it's more likely that you'll find something that works perfectly for you. Sephora has a lot of really good brushes for good prices. For an eyeliner you should try either Urban Decay's 24/ Glide-on Pencil or Make Up Forever Aqua Eyes, they're about $16-$17. As for blush I like a lot of different kinds, but NARS is a good one, Stila's Convertible Colors are a nice cream blush, Tarte has good cream/gel blushes too that look really natural, and Benefit has some nice powder blushes. You should also check out Sephora brand blushes because they're about $10 or so. Good luck!

Honestly i've been suffering from acne for years since childhood and i have scars/blemishes which i coverup with makeup.
But i still get pimples... it's just mild acne though.
I'm applying for jobs and i'm wondering, would it be possible for me to work at a makeup store if i have bad skin?

A year later she hired a girl with awful acne and gave her nothing. She was hired because she was known to be a good salesperson. She still has bad skin. Definitely apply and just look your best at the interview.

Samples from makeup stores?
i read in a magazine that it is good to collect makeup samples to stash in your locker in case you need them, but it just seems weird. How do i go to makeup counters and stores such as mac and sephora and get samples without seeming annoying?Samples from makeup stores?
At Sephora stores, it's pretty easy. Act interested in the product you want, then ask and employee if you can get a little sample to try. Say something like this: ';Excuse me, I'm interested in this product and I was wondering if I could get a small sample to take home with me to try.'; You can also ask for perfume samples; the employee will take any perfume you want and fill a small plastic tube. The sample lasts at least a week.
At department stores, it can be a little trickier. Act interested in the products and ask for a sample. It helps to get a makeover then ask for samples of the products they used. Be nice and polite.
Remember: Act interested. They are more likely to give you a sample if you act like you will buy from them later.
Find the right people. Go to employees that look happy and nice, and who seem glad to help you. At my local mall, the employees at the beauty counters at Macy's aren't the most helpful and can be rather short with younger customers. However, at the Nordstrom's at my mall, they employees are super friendly and nice, and they are glad to provide with a sample. Observe people and watch them to find the nicer ones.
Don't go constantly. If you come back every week, the people will get suspicious. They will start to wonder why you keep coming in for samples but not buying anything. Keep visits to makeup places occasional. Salespeople do remember their customers.
Keep a lookout in magazines; sometimes they give out free samples online, and other times there will be an ad that you take to a store to get free samples. At my local mall, the employees at the beauty counters at Macy's aren't the most helpful and can be rather short with younger customers. However, at the Nordstrom's at my mall, they employees are super friendly and nice, and they are glad to provide with a sample. Observe people and watch them to find the nicer ones.
Don't go constantly. If you come back every week, the people will get suspicious. They will start to wonder why you keep coming in for samples but not buying anything. Keep visits to makeup places occasional. Salespeople do remember their customers.

I'm a teen who uses clinique foundation as well as mascara. Some of their other products, though, I find to be so much more subtle than I'd hoped. I think many of their products are aimed towards older women, which is sad because they are quality and affordable but not nearly as bold as I want my makeup to be as a teen. Granted, they aren't as soft, but if you are on a budget, they are PERFECT. I printed out a picture list of the MAC brushes, and took them to Micheal's, or Hobby Lobby will work. I chose the brushes that looked the most similar. They were about $2-3 a piece.

When you go there they'll give you a ';make-under'; and match your skin tone and then show you how to apply the products as well as showing you little hints and tricks. For the neutral look you're going for, all you need is the start kit which is $60. It's a lot but it comes with brushes and everything and it'll last you a very long time.

I was looking into going to the mall sometime in the near future and getting a makeover at one of the makeup counters in a department store. However, I don't want to pay for anything.
I was wondering what stores, if any, offer free makeovers. Do you have to buy something in order to get the ';free'; makeover?

They're normally for free. Although some will make you pay a deposit that is redeemable against a purchase. They will try to pressure you to buy after they've finished with you. If you walked into Macy's and asked, ';Can I have a sample of the perfume, Escada Moon Sparkle?'; or ';Can I have a sample of the lip gloss?'; Would the sales people look at you weirdly or just give you a sample? If you've ever done this before, tell me what you asked for and if you got it :)

I hope I don't seem cruel, but it's the truth.
You should be able to ask for a sample, just don't go overboard and ask for a dozen of them. If it's perfume, ask if they have sample vials or sample cards. They will probably have them behind the counter or can decant one for you.
I have actually done this before in Macys with an eye cream and it was fine they couldnt be more happy to help... im pretty sure most people do this to test the product before they actually buy it so youll have no probs x

makeup forever hd foundation is great yes expensive makeup is better it lasts longer and just looks better after i bought a clinique product i gradually made the switch now i don't have any drugstore products its also important to have good tools i used to apply my mac powder with a cheap brush but i got a good mac brush to apply it and now it stays on longer

Urban Outfitters is a good example of this trend.
