Makeup from department stores?

At stores such as Dillards there are makeup counters. They give free makeovers but ask that you buy something. The foundation is $32! Thats alot! Have you tried any of those type products? Are they miracle products or just slightly(if at all) better than drugstore stuff.Makeup from department stores?
e.l.f. products are the BEST! It's only ONE DOLLAR for any cosmetic they sell, and it's great-quality stuff! http://www.eyeslipsface.comMakeup from department stores?
Regardless what we put on our skin....we all are going to get old and wrinkly and then die. Why not just eat right and stay in shape. The inner healther is the greatest importance and it will show on the outside. Take care of yourself and your wallet too.
It's the same, you are just paying more for the brand name. Try this website :

www.cosmeticscop.com.
I used to use Clinique -

I like them - and sometimes it is wiser to pay for things I was asked to try Arbonne a swiss based product and because I did I learned all about how many companies use animal products, mineral oils and cheap things. So sometimes it's ok to pay a little more for what you put on your skin it goes in your body.

I think if you find a product that you like - stick with it. Being I am now nearing 40 I am all about good things, anti aging and you get what you pay for?
Don't use makeup from a container which has touched so many others before you.
There are no miracle products. Some of the products are better quality than department store products, some are not. You are definitely paying a premium for fancy packaging and tons of advertising.

Sometimes I think it is worth it because you have the advantage of trying the makeup and getting professional advice before you buy. But I've also found that the quality of advice that you get varies widely.

Paula Begoun makes a living reviewing cosmetics products. I would recommend checking out her Web site, http://www.cosmeticscop.com/, to see what she says about a product you might be interested in. I would note here, that I have less respect for her reviews since she started selling her own line, but it is still worth checking out.

I would say if you can afford it, you should give it a try once and see if you like it -- get a makeover and buy some of the products. But if you can't afford it, you should just pass. You're not going to find a miracle. Stores like Sephora and Ulta have store brands that give you the advantage of trying before buying without the high price tag.
I highly recommend getting the makeover! They will show you a few tricks to properly put on your makeup without looking harsh. They can show you which colours work best with your skin type and what type of products you should be using. Yes, I think they are made of better quality products.

I would only buy some mascara or lip liner if you cannot afford

their other items. Guerlain is terribly expensive but well worth it Clinique is more reasonably priced but still out of range for the average teenage girl.
Yes, the products at the department stores are made from better ingredients. Eyeshadows have more pigment and better staying power. You can find a better array of colors to select from. But just because you pay a lot of money does not guarantee you are getting the best product. Each maker has a best product. For example, Chanel has great creams and foundations.

Foundation and creams are worth spending more money as these products are in direct contact with your skin. You want to prevent clogging and such with foundations. The benefit about department store cosmetics is that you can try them on in the store. You do not have to buy them right away. Just tell them you need to test for allergies. In fact Prescriptives most of the time will give you a small take home sample of foundation.
i really like mac and lancome..but seriously im fine with all the drugstore brands like covergirl..hell, i feel prettier knowing i saved $!
