Makeup in stores stuff question?

If you go to those stores where there is makeup everywhere and those seats to sit down in and have your makeup done, do u have to pay them when there done? I'm guessing you do, and if so how much? (I'm thinking of the ones in like Macy's etc.)Makeup in stores stuff question?
Remember that the stores offer makeup services as a special gesture to customers. Ask beforehand what the requirements are to get a makeup application.

Some of them ask a dollar amount, and some of them have a number of items they ask you to purchase.

This is a GREAT way to get help selecting makeup that looks great on you.Makeup in stores stuff question?
Usually, the make-up consult is free, but it's customary and expected that you buy something.

Plan on spending at least $25, but spend it on something that you couldn't duplicate at Long's or CVS. Colors of lipsticks and liners, eye shadows and eye liners are easier to duplicate at Walgreen's. However, being able to actually experiment with foundations at a cosemtics counter is something that you can't do at Rite Aid, so focus on finding a base that matches your skin exactly, with the lady at the counter helping you. I love products by Clinique because they have no fragrance, are hypoallergenic, and don't cause break-outs or clogged pores, but Estee Lauder, Lancome, MAC, Bobbi Brown and many others have excellent products, too.

Definitely spend good $$ on foundation. If you start with good skin, everything else just looks better.

Best of luck !!
Some do - some don't. In the UK it is normally free. You may need to make an appointment to have a make over done, but some places you can just turn up and ask. Be prepared for a hard sell from the make-up girl, not only for the make-up but skin care products too!

Hope this helps
